LAKE WOBEGONE: Garrison Keillor, a performer for
something called "radio," lost his Miss America title
after his remarks on Christmas created controversy.
Drunkenly writing disconnected sentences about
Ralph Waldo Emerson and the Lesser Jujube Archipelago,
Keillor reminisces about when Christmas was
better, when atheists and Jews and atheist Jews didn't
rewrite his God-fortified whitebread music, which
apparently was 1997.
