ST. PAUL, MN: In order to make up for only having one senator for nearly a year, the senate is exercising a little-known rule to give Minnesota an extra senator for next year.

"It's only fair" said Norm Coleman (R-MN), first in line to sign up for the temporary seat. "I literally gave up a lot of seats when I traded furniture to keep recount appeals going, so it's only logical I should get a shot at getting a new seat."

The temporary senate seat won't be as nice as the other senators' seats. It is described as "small and wooden." No wait, that's how Norm Coleman is described. Coleman's stove is described as an outdoor grill.
